5 common tests under diagnostic service in NJ

Diagnostic services are performed by proficient experts. They help the doctor in diagnosing a patient’s illness. The diagnostic further helps in ensuring the medical treatment is done in time and is cost-effective. These services can be carried out at acute care, ambulatory care, mental health, rehabilitative and geriatric care. The diagnostic services under the proper facility are performed by nurses, technicians, technologists, administrators, physicians and program assistants and analysts.

Diagnostic services in NJ have the following tests -

Echocardiography: The test is performed using a sound wave that helps in producing live pictures of the heart. It helps the doctor in understanding how your heart and its valves are functioning. The nature of the test is painless.
Electrocardiogram (EKG): This test helps in displaying the patient’s heart pumping. In this test, a number of electrodes are placed on the skin. It helps the doctor to understand whether the electrical activity passes through the heart is normal or irregular. An EKG is a noninvasive test, which means nothing is injected into your body.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI): Like X-rays, MRI helps to display a much more detailed picture of your body organs. With the test results, doctors can see the inside picture of your inner body parts including your nerves, muscles, bones and other organs.
Computer Axial Tomography (CT or CAT Scan): It is one of the most common tests that you must have heard from your parents, on TV shows, and from doctors. It is another type of X-ray test that helps in displaying live pictures of inner parts of your body.
Complete Blood Count (CBC): Last but not least, another very common blood test that is performed for a number of medical conditions such as anemia or infection is CBC. The test is controlled by a specially trained phlebotomist who takes a blood sample and measures white blood cells, red blood cells, and hemoglobin.

These are some of the common tests that are covered under diagnostic services. There are various many tests such as bone density study, colonoscopy, mammography and more that are covered under diagnostic services
